The change of season is more than ever the occasion to review your decoration. We adapt the colors, materials and rooms to the desires and trends of course but also to the temperatures! Let's take a look at the possibilities that are available in winter.
Favour soft and comforting materials
In winter, we enjoy staying warm at home, lounging in bed on weekends, wrapping ourselves in a cozy blanket on weeknights. Temperatures are getting colder and we undeniably need comfort.
So we fall for soft and warm materials: wool, fauxfur... Our favorite is the boucle fabric: an irregular weaving of threads, creating a straitjacket of intertwined loops in volume. Its incredible comfort gives it all the reassurance we are looking for in winter.
We also bet on velvet. With its beautiful reflections and its heavy fall gives allure to an interior. In winter, we choose it declined in deep colors: fir green, navy blue. Its heavy fall and its softness are all assets that make it essential.
Play on opulence
What a better way to create a comforting atmosphere than to play on accumulation. We layer
soft throws and
bouncy bedspreads, we add more and more
cushions on our
sofas and seats with only one desire: to curl up in them.
Stay warm
To not let the cold enter our homes, we think to add a thermal
lining to our
curtains. They prevent temperature variations but also provide protection against UV rays and insulate from noise.
To keep warm, we choose our wool throws, which we like for its fluffy and enveloping aspect. We swap our light
bed linen for cotton satin, with its heavy fall and its thermoregulatory power.
